Purpose:

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out carriageway resurfacing works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;

Decision:

The Order commenced 1 April 2019 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated the works will now be undertaken between 24 June and 12 July 2019 depending upon the weather conditions.

Temporary Road Closures - from 19:00 hours to 06:00 hours
A2306 Wrestwood Road - from its junction with A269 Ninfield Road to its junction with P6939 Mount View Street, a distance of 1,195 metres.

Diversion via A269 Ninfield Road – A269 London Road – A269 Combe Valley Road – A2690 Combe Valley Way – P6939 Mount View Street – A2036 Wrestwood Road and vice versa.

A2306 Wrestwood Road & Hastings Road – from its junction with U6724 Pebsham Lane to its junction with P6680 Paradise Walk.

Diversion via U6724 Pebsham Lane – U6728 Seabourne Road – U6720 Martyns Way – U6720 Claxton Road – A2036 Hastings Road and vice versa.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
