Purpose:
To allow South East Water to carry out mains
replacement works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order
under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following
lengths of road;
Decision:
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians
and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained
whenever possible.
The Order commences 3 July 2020 and lasts for a period of 18
months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken as detailed
above, depending upon the weather conditions.

Common Lane
Works are expected to take place between 3 July and 28 August 2020.
Diversion via B2124 Lewes Road – U7663 Common Lane and vice
versa;
Church Lane - from its junction with B2124 Lewes Road to C13 Mill
Lane
Works are expected to take place between 20 July and 9 October
2020. Diversion via B2124 Lewes Road – C13 Mill Lane and vice
versa.
