Purpose:
To allow BT Openreach to carry out cabling
works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections
14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as
amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of
road;
Decision:
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians
and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained
whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via
A21 Havelock Road/Harold Place - A259 Denmark Place - A2101 Albert
Road/Queens Road - U3169 South Terrace/Priory Avenue - U3165 Linton
Road - U3180 Cornwallis Gardens/Cornwallis Terrace.
The Order commences on 5 April 2021 and lasts for a period of 18
months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 21:00hrs
on 5 April to 05:00hrs on 6 April 2021 depending upon the weather
conditions.

Temporary Road Closures
Devonshire Road - from its junction with U3182 Station Road to its
junction with U3169 South Terrace.
Cornwallis Terrace - from its junction with A21 Havelock Road to
its junction with U3181 Priory Road.
