To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out
carriageway surfacing works, East Sussex County Council ihave made
an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the
following length of road in phases;
Temporary Road Closures
Harley Shute Road;
Phase 1 - from its junction with A259 Bexhill Road to property
no.63.
Phase 2 - from property no. 88 to its junction with B2092 Crowhurst
Road
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access
for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with
an alternative route for through traffic via A259 Bexhill
Road/Grosvenor Crescent/Marina/Grand Parade - A2102 London Road -
A21 London Road - B2159 Battle Road - A2100 The Ridge West - A2690
Queensway - A2092 Queensway/Crowhurst Road and vice versa.
The Order commenced 3 August 2020 and lasts for a period of 18
months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 19:00
hours to 06:00 hours between 4 October 2021 & 12 November 2021
depending upon the weather conditions.
