Purpose:
NOTICE is hereby given that East Sussex County
Council have made the above Order under the relevant sections of
the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other
enabling powers, coming into operation 11 October 2021, which
introduces new disabled parking spaces, makes existing advisory
bays enforceable and amends any associated restrictions in the
following lengths of road:
Decision:
The introduction of or changes to Disabled
Persons Parking Places, At Any Time in the following roads in
BEXHILL - Albany Road, Amherst Road, Brassey Road, Cantelupe Road,
Cornwall Road, Knole Road, Magdalen Road, Middlesex Road, Windsor
Road.
Changes to Permit Holders Only 8am-6pm in the following roads in
BEXHILL- Albany Road, Cornwall Road.
Changes to Permit Holders or Time Limited 8am-6pm maximum stay 2
hours, no return within 2 hours in the following roads in BEXHILL-
Brassey Road, Cantelupe Road, Knole Road, Magdalen Road, Middlesex
Road, Rotherfield Avenue.
Changes to Permit Holders or Time Limited Mon to Sat 8am-6pm
maximum stay 2 hours, no return within 2 hours in the following
roads in BEXHILL- Amherst Road, Windsor Road.
Changes to No Waiting At Any Time in the following road in BEXHILL
- Rotherfield Avenue
The previously advertised proposal insofar as it relates to the
Disabled Persons Parking Place in West Parade has been withdrawn as
it is no longer required.
A copy of the made Order, plans showing the lengths of road and a
statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing the Order
along with a copy of the Order being amended can be viewed in
Reception, East Sussex County Council, County Hall, St.
Anne’s Crescent, Lewes BN7 1UE on Monday to Friday between
9am and 4pm or online at

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of
its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers
conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act of 1984, or on the
grounds that any requirement of the Road Traffic Regulation Act or
of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in
relation to the Order, may within six weeks of the date the Order
was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
