The East Sussex (C40 Jevington Road, Filching / Jevington)(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022

Purpose:

To allow SGN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;

Decision:

Temporary Road Closures
Jevington Road;
Phase 1 - from Wannock Lodge to Woodfield
Works are expected to be carried out between 3 October & 2 December 2022

Phase 2 - from Woodfield to Hunters Moon
Works are expected to be carried out between 2 January & 3 March 2023

Any residual works required are expected to be carried out between 18 September & 10 December 2023

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C40 Jevington Road - A259 Friston Hill - A259 Eastbourne Road – A259 East Dean Road - A259 Church Street – A259 High Street - A259 The Goffs - A2270 Upperton Road – A2270 Willingdon Road - A2270 Crossways roundabout - A2270 Willingdon Road - A2270 Eastbourne Road - C40 Wannock Road – C40 Jevington Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 3 October 2022 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken as detailed above depending upon the weather conditions.
