To allow Mildren Construction Ltd to carry out
carriageway reconstruction works, East Sussex County Council have
made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily impose the
following restrictions:-
The Order commences 22 October 2018 and lasts
for a period of 18 months, or until the works are completed,
whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated the
restrictions will be in force between 22 October 2018 and 5 July
2019.

northbound from the A259 Memorial Roundabout to the junction with
U2259 Terminus Road.(Except for access to U2131 Mark Lane from
U2131 Hyde Gardens)
The alternative route for northbound traffic signed via A259 South
Street- A259 Gildredge Rd- U2131 Hyde Gardens - U2131 Lushington
Road
Temporary Prohibition of Left Turn
No vehicle shall be permitted to turn left from U2131 Lushington
Road into U2132 Cornfield Road

U2131 Connaught Road - restricting traffic from travelling
northbound from U2131 Lushington Road to U2131 Hyde Gardens
The alternative route for northbound traffic signed via U2131 Hyde
Gardens - U2132 Cornfield Road - U2131 Lushington Road
Temporary Prohibition of Left Turn
No vehicle shall be permitted to turn left from U2131 Hyde Gardens
into U2131 Connaught Road
Access for pedestrians should not be affected.
