To allow East Sussex Highways to complete the
installation of a new retaining wall, East Sussex County Council
have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road
Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily
close the following length of road;
The Order commences 11 February 2019 and lasts
for a period of 18 months, or until the works are completed,
whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated the works will
be undertaken between 11 February 2019 and 22 March 2019 depending
upon the weather conditions.

Temporary Road Closure
U7497 Daleham Lane - 160 metres either side of Daleham Lane
Bridge.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access
for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with
an alternative route for through traffic signed and maintained for
the duration of the works via U7497 Daleham Lane – C9 Down
Street – A272 Batts Bridge Road – C206 Ruston Bridge
Road – C206 Church Street – C206 High Street –
U7497 Daleham Lane and vice versa.
