Purpose:

Notice is hereby given that East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3) and 4(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, coming into operation 18 February 2019. The effect of the Order is to consolidate and ratify the no waiting at any time (double yellow lines) restrictions on the following lengths of road as a result of the High Street Improvement scheme construction:-

A copy of the made Order, plans showing the lengths of road and a statement of the County Council’s reasons for proposing the Order along with copies of those Orders being revoked or consolidated into this Order can be inspected in Reception, East Sussex County Council, County Hall, St Anne’s Crescent, Lewes Monday to Friday 9am - 4pm; at Uckfield Library, Library Way, High Street, Uckfield TN22 1AR Monday 10am–1pm, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday 10am-4.30pm, Wednesday 2pm – 4.30pm

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act of 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Road Traffic Regulation Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks of the date the Order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
