Purpose:

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out ground investigation works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily restrict all traffic using the following lengths of road to a speed not exceeding 30 mph:-

Decision:

Temporary two way signals will also be in place for the duration of these works.

The Order commences 29 April 2019 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated the speed restriction will be in place between 29 April 2019 and 31 May 2019.

A259 Eastbourne Road & East Dean Road - from the existing 30mph speed limit sign at the boundary of the eastern end of Seaford for a distance of 2100 metres in an easterly direction.
