To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out
structure repairs works and to maintain public safety on site, East
Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and
15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which
will temporarily close the following length of road to all
users;
Temporary Road Closure
Motts Mill - from the junction with U7466 Forge Road to the
junction with B2188 Cherry Gardens Hill.
A safe route will be provided for residents and vehicular access
for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with
an alternative route for through traffic via U7466 Forge Road - A26
Eridge Road - C11 London Road - Summersales Hill - Lye Green
– B2188 Plumyfeather Lane and vice versa.
The Order commences on 26 July 2021 and lasts for a period of 18
months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 26 July
& 27 August 2021 depending upon the weather conditions.
