To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out
carriageway resurfacing works, East Sussex County Council have made
an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the
following lengths of road;
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians
and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained
whenever possible.
The Order commences 25 February 2019 and lasts for a period of 18
months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
However, it is anticipated the works will be undertaken between 25
February 2019 and 4 March 2019 depending upon the weather
conditions.

Alternative route for through traffic signed and maintained for the
duration of the works via A21 Sedlescombe Road North – A2101
St Helens Road – A2101 Queens Road – A2101 Albert Road
– A259 Denmark Place – A259 Carlisle Parade –
A259 White Rock – A2101 London Road and vice versa.
