34.1     The Lead Member considered a report by the Director of Adult Social Care seeking approval to procure the Integrated Community Equipment Services (ICES) via the Kent County Council Framework Agreement (KCS) and delegate authority to the Director of Adult Social Care to take all necessary actions to progress the procurement process.

 

34.2     The Lead Member RESOLVED to:

1)         Approve the procurement of the Integrated Community Equipment Services (ICES) for adults via the Kent County Council Framework Agreement.

2)         Delegate authority to the Director of Adult Social Care to take all necessary actions to progress the procurement process; and

3)         Request an update report be provided to the Lead Member for Adult Social Care and Health when the Integrated Community Equipment Services contract is ready to be awarded.

 

Reason

 

34.3     Community Equipment offers vial and effective support enabling many people to remain independent at home. The current contract will end in March 2023 and the KCS framework provides an effective procurement approach.
