To allow SGN to carry out works, East Sussex
County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b)
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will
temporarily close the following length of road;

Old Willingdon Road - from the junction of C40 Friston Road to
Foxfields
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access
for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commences 24 January 2022 and lasts for a period of 18
months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 24
January & 1 April 2022 depending upon the weather
conditions.

Aldervale Cottages - from the junction with U7487 Stone Cross Road
to the junction with C11 Fermor Road (including nos. 28 to 16b and
nos. 59 to 66a)
Diversion via U7487 Stone Cross Road – C11 Fermor Road and
vice versa.
Burnt Oak Road - from the junction with U7860 Redbridge Lane to the
junction with C483 Fordbrook Hill.
Diversion via C483 Fordbrook Hill – C11 Hadlow Down Road
– C11 Walshes Road - Fermor Road – C483 Alice Bright
Lane and vice versa.
Stone Cross Road - from the junction with C483 Burnt Oak Road to
the junction with U7478 Alderbrook Close (including the junctions
of C483 Alice Bright Lane and C482 Burnt Oak Road).
Diversion via C483 Burnt Oak Road - Fordbrook Hill – C11
Hadlow Down Road - Walshes Road - Fermor Road – C483 Alice
Bright Lane and vice versa.
