23/04/2021 - The East Sussex (A2280 Cross Levels Way & U2279 Broadwater Way, Eastbourne)(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2021 ref: 1471    Recommendations Approved

To allow City Fibre Metro Networks Ltd to carry out superfast broadband works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;

Effective from: 23/04/2021

Decision:

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.

The Order commences on 23 April 2021 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 20:00hrs to 06:00hrs between 23 & 25 April 2021 depending upon the weather conditions.

23/04/2021 - The East Sussex (B2123 The Drove, Falmer)(Temporary Layby Closure) Order 2021 ref: 1470    Recommendations Approved

To allow East Sussex County Council and Brighton and Hove City Council to store equipment for the bridleway/ cycleway improvement works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of layby;

Decision:

The Order commences on 26 April 2021 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 26 April & 23 July 2021 depending upon the weather conditions.

16/04/2021 - The East Sussex (Eastbourne)(Parking Places, Waiting and Loading Restrictions) Traffic Regulation Order 2021 ref: 1469    Recommendations Approved

Notice is hereby given that East Sussex County Council have made the above Order under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, coming into effect on 19 April 2021, which introduces new, or revises the existing parking, waiting and loading restrictions in the following lengths of road:-

Decision:

A copy of the made Order, plans showing the lengths of road and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing the Order, can be viewed at consultation.eastsussex.gov.uk/economy-transport-environment/eastbourne-formal-2019/ Due to current social distancing requirements, paper copies of documents will not be available to view in our council offices or libraries. People without access to a computer who wish to view details of the scheme should telephone the Parking Team on 01323 466244 to receive the documents by post.

The Order has been amended to incorporate the current parking and permit tariffs as detailed in the “Notice of Variation of On-Street parking charges at parking places in Eastbourne borough” advertised on 5 June
2020 and which came into effect from 1 July 2020.

The previously advertised proposals insofar as they relate to Mark Lane, Vine Square, Winchelsea Road and Winston Crescent have been abandoned following consideration of the objections received and decisions made at Planning Committee.

The previously advertised proposals insofar as they relate to Brodrick Road, Channel View Road, Edensor Road and Rowsley Road have been modified following consideration of the objections received and decisions made at Planning Committee.

The previously advertised proposal insofar as it relates to Hurst Road has been modified as one of the disabled bays is no longer required.

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act of 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Road Traffic Regulation Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks of the date the Order is made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.

16/04/2021 - The East Sussex (A259 Seaside Road, Eastbourne)Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2021 ref: 1465    Recommendations Approved

To allow South East Water to carry out permanent reinstatement works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Decision Maker: Director of Communities, Economy and Transport

Decision published: 12/04/2021

Effective from: 16/04/2021

Decision:

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A259 Pevensey Road – A259 Lismore Road – A259 Bolton Road – A259 Memorial Roundabout – B2106 Devonshire Place – B2106 Grand Parade – U2145 Cavendish Place.

The Order commences on 19 April 2021 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 20:00hrs to 05:00hrs between 19 & 22 April 2021 depending upon the weather conditions.

16/04/2021 - The East Sussex (A272 Budletts Lane, Coopers Green, Uckfield)(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2021 ref: 1464    Recommendations Approved

To allow South East Water to carry out apparatus repair works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Decision Maker: Director of Communities, Economy and Transport

Effective from: 16/04/2021

Decision:

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U7118 Five Ash Down – A26 Mill Pond Road – A272 London Road and vice versa.

The Order commences on 21 April 2021 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 21 & 23 April 2021 depending upon the weather conditions.
