To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out carriageway resurfacing works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A259 Carlisle Parade – A259 White Rock – A259 Verulam Place – A259 Eversfield Place – A259 Grand Parade – A2102 London Road – A21 Bohemia Road – A21 Cambridge Road – A21 Cambridge Gardens – A21 Cornwallis Terrace and vice versa.

The Order commences 27 January 2020 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 27 January and 6 February 2020 depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow Network Rail to carry out civil engineering works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A275 The Street – A275 Offham Road – A275 Nevill Road – A275 Brighton Road – A27(T) Lewes Bypass – A26 Southerham Road – A26 Cuilfail Tunnel – A26 Malling Street – A26 Malling Hill – A26 Malling Down – A26 Uckfield Road – A26 Rose Hill – A26 Lewes Road – A22 Uckfield Bypass - A22 Maresfield Bypass – A22 Batts Bridge Road – A272 Goldbridge Road – A272 Western Road – A272 Station Road – A275 vice versa

The Order commenced 4 November 2019 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken as below, depending upon the weather conditions;

from 18:00hrs Saturday 18 January 2020 to 06:00hrs Monday 20 January 2020.

HGVs via A259 Old London Road, Hastings – A259 Rye Road – A259 Winchelsea Road – A259 White Hart Hill – A259 Winchelsea Road – A259 Rye Road – A259 The Thorne – A259 Main Road – A259 Hastings Road – A259 Rectory Lane – A259 Roberts Hill – A259 Tanyard Lane – C92 Sea Road – C92 Pett Level Road – C92 Battery Hill and vice versa.

The Order commences 13 January 2020 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 13 January and 6 March 2020 depending upon the weather conditions.
