The Council currently has a contract with
Adecco for the management and supply of temporary agency staffing
across all council departments. The contract term is due to expire
in November 2025 and has an allowed extension for 12 months.
The corporate contract allows for Adecco to source temporary agency
staff via other agencies as well as their own, so this contract
continues to provide the Council with flexibility and choice within
the market.
The contract terms and conditions as well as price are staying the
same and this is deemed value for money. The Council are pleased
with the overall performance over the life of the contract so far
and would like to continue to work with them.

East Sussex County Council currently supports
adults with Care Act eligible needs via a contract with a
third-party provider; however, there is an imminent risk of
provider failure.
Given the nature of the service, any break in provision and service
continuity would place adults at risk, increase delayed hospital
discharges and result in increased ambulance conveyance and
hospital admissions.
It is therefore essential that the Council make arrangements for
alternative service provision (if required) to ensure continuity of
service for a significant cohort of vulnerable adults.
Decision Maker: Director of Adult Social Care and Health
Decision published: 25/07/2025
Effective from: 25/07/2025
