Repeated requests, over the last year, to clear the excess vegetation and soil from this route has meant that disability scooters, cycles and pedestrians have inadequate social distancing. This is a specific problem during Covid19.
This route, is one of the busiest in Eastbourne, and the original 3m, is in fact the minimum specification, for a shared path. Currently it is between 2m and 1.5m and this is too narrow. This work should be funded by the £2.5 million, that the Council has received from central government, though little tangible has been delivered.
