Item 5 - Internal Audit Strategy 2012/13 and Annual Plan

To consider the County Council's Internal Audit Strategy for 2012/13 and Annual Plan

Item 6 - Internal Audit Services: Annual Report and Opinion

To seek the Committee's views on the adequacy of the County Council's control environment as a contribution to the proper economic, efficent and effective use of resources for the year from 1 April 2011 to 31 March 2012.

item 7 - Assessment of the Corporate Governance Framework and Corporate Assurance Statement 2011/12

To (1) provide information on compliance with the County Council's Code of Corporate Governance and any changes to it that may be necessary to maintain it and ensure its effectiveness on practice; and (2) seek the Committee's approval of the County Council's Annual Governance Statement in compliance with the requirements of the Accoutns and Audit Regulations 2011.

To update the Committee on the current strategic risks faced by the County Council, their status and mitigating actions.

Item 9 - Treasury Management Stewardship 2011/12

To present a review of the County Council's performance on Treasury Management for the year 2011/12.

To provide an update on activities underaken and planned to reduce the County Council's carbon footprint from its own activities and services

To provide the Committee with an update on the progress of the Communications Service Review

Item 12 - Use of Agency Staff: update

To provide the Committee with the annual update on the use of agency staff in East Sussex County Council

Item 13 - Joint Review Board with Children's Services Scrutiny Committee

To outline the terms of reference and agree membership of the Joint Member Reference Group with Children's Services Scrutiny Committee to consider the local authority powers, responsibilities and roles in relation to schools.

Item 14 - Committee Work Programme

To consider the Committee's programme of work for the forthcoming year.

Item 15 - Forward Plan

To consider the County Council's Forward Plan of key decisions to be made during the period 1 June to 30 September 2012.
