Item 5 - East Sussex Children's Centres - Progress Report by the Director of Children's Services

To provide the Committee with contextual information in relation to Children’s Centres, detailing progress to date in East Sussex.

Item 6 - The East Sussex County Council Youth Development Service

To provide members with a better understanding of the role of the Youth Development Service and the contribution the Service makes to improving outcomes for vulnerable young people.

Item 7 - Progress report on action following the Scrutiny Review of Home to School Transport

To update the Scrutiny Committee on Home to School Transport

Item 8 - Progress report on action following the Scrutiny Review of School Admissions

To inform the Scrutiny Committee of progress on the action points and recommendations made within the report and to update the Committee on changes required by the Education and Inspections Act 2006 and the School Admissions Code.

Item 9 - Progress report with regard to recommendations made in the Scrutiny Report of March 2006 on the CfBT East Sussex School Improvement Service (SIS)

To provide a further update to the Committee on action taken by the service to address the recommendations made as a result of the Scrutiny Review. The first update was provided in November 2006.

To update the Committee on the work of the Contextual Value Added Board and outline its suggestions for further work in this area
