Item 5 - South East Coast Ambulance Services NHS Trust - key developments

To brief HOSC on SECAMB's application for Foundation Trust status and its strategy for the ambulance station network

Item 6 - Older people's mental health (OPMH) services strategy

To update HOSC on the local strategy for Older People's Mental Health Service, including the implications of the new National Dementia Strategy.

Item 7 - Community and inpatient care for older people with organic mental health needs

A progress report on the implementation of Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust's proposals for inpatient acute assessment beds and associated developments in community services for older people with organic mental health needs such as dementia.

Item 8 - Developing Maternity Services for East Sussex

To summarise progress in relation to the development of maternity services in East Sussex, with particular focus on the development of a model for childbirth and related services at East Sussex Hospitals Trust.

Item 9 - Changes to the regulation of health and social care

To update HOSC on the creation of the Care Quality Commission and the use of the Annual Health Check to assess NHS organisation's compliance against national core standards.

Item 10 - HOSC work programme 2009/10

To agree HOSC's work programme for 2009/10 and update the Committee on the scrutiny review of nutrition, hydration and feeding in hospitals and the rural health services event.
