Purpose:

Approval of the proposed use of the Household Support Fund Round 4 for the period (1 October – 31 March 2024) for the spend allocations manged by Adult Social care and Health (ASC&H) which include District and Borough allocations, Voluntary and Community Social Enterprise organisations (VCSE) allocations, allocations to Warmer Homes and allocations to Food Banks/Food Partnerships.

A report is also being considered by the Lead Member for Education and Inclusion, Special Educational Needs and Disability (EISEND) for the spend of the Household Support Fund on children and families.

25.1     The Lead Member considered a report by the Director of Adult Social Care and Health regarding the Household Support Fund Round 4 (HSF4).

 

DECISIONS

 

25.1     The Lead Member RESOLVED to:

 

1) Approve the use of £2,000,568 of the Fund, to provide support to households with pensioners, households with a disabled person and other vulnerable households between 1 October 2023 – 31 March 2024; and

 

2) Delegate to the Director of Adult Social Care and Health authority to implement the

scheme.

 

REASONS

 

25.2     The scheme provides a further opportunity to extend the support to households with children, households with pensioners, households with a disabled person and other vulnerable households within East Sussex who are experiencing financial challenges.
