4.1       The Lead Member considered a report by the Director of Communities, Economy and Transport.

DECISION

4.2       RESOLVED to: (1) agree the criteria set out in paragraph 2.2 of the report for the Catalysing Stalled Sites Fund of £916k;

(2) agree the process for distributing the Catalysing Stalled Sites Fund as set out in paragraph 2.3 of the report; and

(3) delegate authority to the Director of Communities, Economy and Transport to approve projects for funding following a recommendation from the East Sussex Grants and Loan Panel.  

Reasons

4.3       The fund is designed to unlock stalled commercial and housing site opportunities across the county.  The fund is finance of last resort to local authorities and private sector developers to unlock these sites to generate economic activity and housing, and realise site potential.
