To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out
works to facilitate pedestrian improvement schemes, East Sussex
County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b)
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will
temporarily close the following length of road;
The Order commenced 7 January 2019 and lasts
for a period of 18 months, or until the works are completed,
whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated the works will
be undertaken between 3 June and 5 July 2019 depending upon the
weather conditions.

Temporary Road Closure
U6509 Church Hill Avenue - from its junction with A259 Little
Common Road to its junction with U6509 Shepherds Close, a distance
of 160 metres.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access
for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with
an alternative route for through traffic signed and maintained for
the duration of the works via A259 Little Common Road – B2128
Cooden Sea Road and vice versa.
