To allow Southern Gas Networks to carry out
service connection works, East Sussex County Council have made an
Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the
following lengths of road;
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians
and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained
whenever possible.
The Order commences 30 September 2019 and lasts for a period of 18
months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken for the
durations stated above depending upon the weather conditions.

Temporary Road Closures
Deerswood Lane - from its junction with U6744 Broadoak Lane to
property no. 2.
Works are anticipated to be carried out from 30 September to 19
October 2019. Diversion via U6744 Broadoak Lane - A259 Little
Common Road – U6585 Knebworth Road – U6732 Summer Hill
Road – U6744 Broadoak Lane and vice versa.
Broadoak Lane - from its junction with A259 Little Common Road to
its junction with U6737 Deerswood Lane
Works are anticipated to be carried out from 30 September to 12
November 2019.
Diversion via A259 Little Common Road – U6585 Knebworth Road
– U6732 Summer Hill Road – U6744 Broadoak Lane - U6737
Deerswood Lane and vice versa.
Courthope Drive - from its junction with U6744 Broadoak Lane to
property no. 56
Works are anticipated to be carried out from 30 September to 28
October 2019.
Diversion via U6585 Knebworth Road – U6732 Summer Hill Road
– U6744 Broadoak Lane – U6737 Deerswood Lane and vice
versa.
