Purpose:

Notice is hereby given that East Sussex County Council have made the above Order under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, coming into operation 9 March 2020 which removes the existing parking restrictions and revises no waiting at any time restrictions along the following length of road in preparation of the completion of the new development:-

Decision:

A copy of the Order, plans showing the lengths of road and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing the Order may be examined in Reception, East Sussex County Council, County Hall, St Annes Crescent, Lewes BN7 1UE Monday to Friday 9am-4pm and at Lewes Library, Styles Field, Friars Walk, Lewes BN7 2LZ Monday 10am–2pm, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday 10am-5pm, Thursday 10am-6pm

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act of 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Road Traffic Regulation Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks of the date the Order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.

Removal of Parking Bays (Permit Holders or Pay & Display Mon-Sat , 9am to 5pm) & Introduction of No Waiting At Any Time in;
Southdowns Road, Lewes - north side - from a point 91 metres west of its junction with Brooks Road westwards for a distance of 30.5 metres.
