To allow SGN to carry out mains replacement
works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections
14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as
amended, which will temporarily close the following length of
road;
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians
and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained
whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic
eastbound via A259 Grand Parade – A259 Eversfield Place
– A259 Verulam Place – U3160 Schwerte Way – U3160
White Rock Road – A21 Bohemia Road; westbound via A259 Grand
Parade – A259 Marina – A259 Grosvenor Crescent –
A259 Bexhill Road – C238 Filsham Road – U3128 The Green
– U3128 Upper Maze Hill – U3134 Pevensey Road.
The Order commences 2 September 2020 and lasts for a period of 18
months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 2
September and 25 October 2020 depending upon the weather
conditions.
