Decision details

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out carriageway repairs, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;

Temporary Road Closures
A26 Eridge Road, Eridge Green - from the junction with C12 Sham Farm Road to the junction with C70 Bunny Lane.
Restriction is anticipated to be in place from 20:00hrs to 06:00hrs between 4 July & 13 August 2022.

Diversion via C70 Bunny Lane – A267 Frant Road - Mayfield Road, Tunbridge Wells Road - Argos Hill Road - Mayfield Road – A272 Summer Hill - Main Road, Pound Green - High Street - Station Road - Budletts Lane – A26 Mill Pond Road - Five Ash Down - Uckfield Road - Beacon Road - Eridge Road and vice versa.

A267 Argos Hill / Tunbridge Wells Road / Mayfield Road / Frant Green Road / Frant Road / Mayfield Bypass, Rotherfield / Argos Hill / Mark Cross / Frant / Mayfield - from the junction with A267 Mayfield roundabout to the junction with C70 Bunny Lane.
Restriction is anticipated to be in place from 20:00hrs to 06:00hrs between 4 July & 13 August 2022.

Diversion via C70 Bunny Lane - A26 Eridge Road - Beacon Road - Uckfield Road - Five Ash Down - Mill Pond Road - A272 Budletts Lane - Station Road - High Street - Pound Green - Main Road - Summer Hill – A267 Mayfield Road - Wellbrook Hill - Mayfield bypass - Tunbridge Wells Road - Argos Hill and vice versa.

B2100 Cousley Wood Road, Wadhurst - from the junction with C272 South View Road to the junction with U7534 Sleepers Stile Road.
Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 4 July & 20 August 2022.

Diversion via B2100 Sparrows Green Road – B2099 Durgates - Station Road - Frant Road - Riverhall Hill - Wadhurst Road – A267 Mayfield Road - Frant Road – B2169 Bayham Road – B2169 Furnace Lane (Kent) – B2100 The Slade and vice versa.

U7602 Sheepsetting Lane / Ghyll Road, Heathfield - from the junction with A267 Little London Road to the junction with B2203 Hailsham Road.
Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 25 July & 24 August 2022.

Diversion via C273 Station Road – A265 High Street – A267 Little London Road and vice versa.

C14 Newick Lane, Mayfield / Heathfield - from the junction with C14 West Street to the junction with A265 Burwash Road.
Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 25 July & 26 August 2022

Diversion via C14 Stone Cross - Wellbrook – A267 Wellbrook Hill - Mayfield Road - Heathfield Road - Cross in Hand Road – A265 High Street - Mutton Hall Hill - Burwash Road and vice versa

U7474 St Johns Road, Crowborough - from the junction with U7474 Mardens Hill to the junction with C11 London Road.
Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 25 July & 11 August 2022

Diversion via U7474 Mardens Hill - Hubbards Hill – B2188 Church Hill - Lye Green Road - C11 Lye Green - London Road and vice versa.

A26 Five Ash Down / Mill Pond Road / Uckfield bypass, Uckfield - from Blackdown roundabout to the junction with U7502 Rocks Lane.
Restriction is anticipated to be in place from 20:00hrs to 06:00hrs on 4 & 5 May 2022

Diversion via A26 Uckfield Road – C3 New Road – B2026 Duddleswell Road - Lampool Road – A22 Maresfield bypass and vice versa.

B2192 Lewes Road / Heathfield Road, Blackboys / Halland / Framfield - from the junction with C208 Possingworth Lane to the junction with A22 Eastbourne Road.
Restriction is anticipated to be in place on 16 May 2022

Diversion via B2239 Mayfield Flat – A267 Heathfield Road – A272 Summer Hill - Main Road - Pound Green - Station Road - Buxted Road - Budletts Lane – A26 Uckfield bypass – A22 Uckfield bypass - Eastbourne Road and vice versa.

A22 London Road / Lewes Road, Forest Row - from the junction with C250 Wall Hill Road to the junction with C2 Colemans Hatch Road.
Restriction is anticipated to be in place from 20:00hrs to 06:00hrs on 27 & 28 June 2022

Diversion via A22 (WSX) – A264 (Kent) - Holtye Road - Colestock Road - East Grinstead Road – A267 Frant Road – C70 Bunny Lane – A26 Eridge Road - Beacon Road - Uckfield Road - Five Ash Down – A26 Uckfield bypass – A22 Maresfield bypass - Horney Common - High Street - Mill Brook Hill - Wych Cross and vice versa.

B2100 Catts Hill, Mark Cross / Town Row, Rotherfield - from the junction with A267 Mayfield Road to the junction with C407 Yew Tree Lane.
Restriction is anticipated to be in place from 20:00hrs to 06:00hrs on 4 & 5 May 2022

Diversion via B2100 Station Road – B2101 South Street - High Cross, Bicycle Arms Road – A267 Argos Hill - Tunbridge Wells Road - Mayfield Road and vice versa.

A267 Little London Road, Heathfield - from the junction with U7602 Sheepsetting Lane to the junction with A267 Cross in Hand Road.
Restriction is anticipated to be in place from 20:00hrs to 06:00hrs between 5 September & 4 November 2022.

Diversion via A265 Cross in Hand Road - High Street - Mutton Hall Hill – B2203 Tower Street - Hailsham Road - Maynards Green Road – A267 Little London Road and vice versa.

B2100 Crowborough Hill, Jarvis Brook - from the junction with C11 Western Road to the junction with U7152 Burdett Road.
Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 24 October & 4 November 2022

Diversion via B2100 Crowborough Hill - High Street – A26 Beacon Road – C254 Sheep Plain - Hurtis Hill – C11 Fermor Road - Walshes Road and vice versa.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.

The Order commences 3 May 2022 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken as detailed above depending upon the weather conditions.
