To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out
works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections
14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as
amended, which will temporarily close the following length of
road;
Temporary Road Closure
Queensway - from its junction with U3082 Napier Road to its
junction with A2690 Combe Valley Way
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access
for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with
an alternative route for through traffic southbound via A2690
Queensway - A2100 The Ridge West - B2159 Battle Road - A21 London
Road / Bohemia Road - A2102 London Road (southbound only) - A2102
Norman Road / Warrior Square) - A259 Grand Parade / Marina /
Grosvenor Crescent / Bexhill Road - B2092 Harley Shute Road /
Crowhurst Road & northbound via B2092 Crowhurst Road / Harley
Shute Road - A259 Bexhill Road / Grosvenor Crescent / Marina /
Grand Parade - A2102 London Road - A21 London Road - B2159 Battle
Road - A2100 The Ridge West - A290 Queensway.
The Order commences 11 July 2022 and lasts for a period of 18
months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 07:00hrs
to 19:00hrs between 11 July & 5 August 2022 depending upon the
weather conditions.
