Acquisition of the property will support
progress towards planning requirements and delivery of the Exceat
Bridge Replacement Project.
A decision was taken to approve The Heads of
Terms for the freehold acquisition of a property in Exceat as set
out in a report to the Chief Operating Officer and Director of
Communities, Economy and Transport.
A further decision to delegate authority to the Assistant Director
Property to negotiate detailed acquisition terms for the
acquisition was also taken.
Alternative options were considered in the
report presented to the Lead Member of Resources and Climate Change
on 8 November 2022. The first option approved by the Lead member
was unsuccessfully pursued, this was the alternative option the
Lead Member approved if the first was unsuccessful.
