Purpose:

To allow HPS Civils to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Decision:

Temporary Road Closure
Chiddingly Road - from its junction with A267 Horam Road to its junction with C114 Stonehill

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A267 Horam Road / North Street / New North Street – A22 The Dicker / Golden Cross – C114 Burgh Hill Road / Muddles Green / Rosemount – C330 Thunders Hill / Gun Hill / Pick Hill and vice versa.

The Order commenced 14 November 2022 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 13 March & 2 June 2023 depending upon the weather conditions.
