To maintain safety of the workforce and other
road users whilst South East Water carry out works, East Sussex
County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b)
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will
temporarily restrict all traffic using the following lengths of
road to a speed not exceeding 30 mph:-
Temporary 30 mph Speed Limit
Well House Hill / Northiam Road - from the junction with U6949
Pixies Lane to High Banks.
The Order commences 13 April 2023 and is made following the issuing
of a Temporary Notice and a Temporary Successive Notice under the
relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as
amended, and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are
completed, whichever is earlier, it is anticipated works will be
completed by 31 August 2023 depending upon the weather
conditions.
