To allow Southern Water to carry out works,
East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1)
and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended,
which will temporarily close the following lengths of road in
phases;
Temporary Road Closures
Glovers Lane;
Phase 1 - from the junction with A269 Ninfield Road to the junction
with U6716 North Road.
Diversion southbound via U6716 North Road - Suffolk Road - Sidley
Street – A269 Ninfield Road and northbound via A269 Ninfield
Road – U6718 Bank Road - Ringwood Road -Glovers Lane.
Phase 2 - from the junction with U6716 North Road to the junction
with U6718 Sidley Green.
Phase 3 - from the junction with U6718 Sidley Green to the junction
with U6718 Ringwood Road.
Phase 2 & 3 diversion via A269 Ninfield Road – U6718 Bank
Road - Ringwood Road and vice versa.
Phase 4 - from the junction with U6718 Ringwood Road to the
junction with P6576 Buckholt Lane
Diversion route not applicable, where access is not available
closure will be in place from 09.30hrs to 14.30hrs.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access
for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commences 10 April 2023 and lasts for a period of 18
months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 10
April & 16 July 2023 depending upon the weather
conditions.
