Purpose:
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out
works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections
14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as
amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of
road;

Ditchling Road / Lewes Road / West Street / Keymer Road - from the
junction with A275 The Street to the junction with B2116 Keymer
Road (WSX)
Restriction is anticipated to be in place from 19:00hrs to 06:00hrs
between 1 June & 21 July 2023
Diversion via B2112 High Street – B2112 Common Lane - B2112
Ditchling Road – C6 Green Road – C6 South Road - C323
Honeypot Lane - C323 Mill Lane – A275 South Road – A275
Resting Oak Hill – A275 Cooksbridge Road - B2116 Ditchling
Road and vice versa.
High Street / North End / Common Lane - from the junction with

Hartfield Road - from the junction with U5447 Southdown Road to the
junction with A259 Eastbourne Road
Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 18 October &
1 November 2023
Diversion via A259 Eastbourne Road – A259 Sutton Road - U5447
Southdown Road and vice versa.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access
for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commences 1 June 2023 and lasts for a period of 18
months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken as detailed
above depending upon the weather conditions.
