To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out
works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections
14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as
amended, which will temporarily close the following length of
road;
Temporary Road Closure
Standard Hill / High Street / The Green - from the junction with
B2204 Catsfield Road to the junction with A271 Kitchenham
Road
Diversion via A271 Kitchenham Road – B2204 Tellis Coppice,
Horns Corner, The Green, The Stream, Catsfield Road and vice
versa.
Restriction is anticipated to be in place from 19:00hrs to 07:00hrs
between 13 & 23 October 2023
Westfield Lane - from the junction with A21 Ebdens Hill to the
junction with P6807 Baldslow Down
Diversion via A28 Westfield Lane, Church Lane, Main Road, Brede
Road, Brede Hill, Cackle Street – B2089 Chitcombe Road, Tank
Hill, Whorne Woods, Catts Green , B2244 Compasses, Hawkhurst Road,
Sandrock Hill, The Street, Tollgate Road – A21 Whydown Hill,
Kent Street, Ebdens Hill and vice versa.
Restriction is anticipated to be in place from 19:00hrs to 06:00hrs
between 13 & 18 November 2023
Maplehurst - from the junction with A28 Westfield Lane to the
junction with A2100 The Ridge
Diversion via A2100 The Ridge, Junction Road – A21
Sedlescombe Road North, Ebdens Hill and vice versa.
Restriction is anticipated to be in place from 19:00hrs to 06:00hrs
between 13 & 18 November 2023
Holliers Hill / Chantry Lane - from the junction with B2182 High
Street to the junction with A269 London Road
Diversion via A260 London Road – A2690 Combe Valley Way
– A269 London Road, Town Hall Square, Buckhurst Road –
B2182 Upper Sea Road and vice versa.
Restrictions is anticipated to be in place between 4 & 13
December 2023
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access
for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commences 13 October 2023 and lasts for a period of 18
months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken as detailed
above depending upon the weather conditions.
