To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out
works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections
14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as
amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of
road;
Temporary Road Closures
Camperdown Street - from the junction with A269 Ninfield Road to
the junction with P6647 Camperdown Street.
Restriction is anticipated to be in place on 8 & 9 and between
14 & 23 February 2024.
Cranston Rise - from the junction with U6533 Cranston Avenue to the
junction with U6533 Walton Park.
Restriction is anticipated to be in place on 12 & 13 and
between 21 & 27 February 2024.
Diversion via U6533 Cranston Avenue, Walton Park and vice
versa.
Heather Way – for its entire length.
Restriction is anticipated to be in place on 5 & 6, 8 & 9
and 12 February 2024.
Knowle Road – for its entire length.
Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 5 & 9
February 2024.
Pembury Grove - from the junction with U6593 Bidwell Avenue to the
junction with U6593 Dalehurst Road.
Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 14 & 20
February and between 27 February & 11 March 2024.
Diversion via U6593 Bidwell Avenue - U6589 Gunters Lane - U6745
Woodsgate Park - U6583 Buxton Drive - U6593 Canada Way, St Lawrence
Road, Dalehurst Road and vice versa.
Woodland Way – for its entire length.
Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 7 & 9 and 12
& 19 February 2024.
Westville Road - from the junction with U6562 Cranston Avenue to
the junction with B2098 Collington Avenue.
Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 21 & 26
February and 4 & 13 March 2024.
Diversion via U6562 Cranston Avenue, Holmesdale Road - B2098
Collington Avenue and vice versa or via U6562 Cranston Avenue,
Colebrooke Road - B2098 Collington Avenue and vice versa.
Newlands Avenue – for its entire length.
Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 27 February &
1 March and 11 & 21 March 2024.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access
for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commences 5 February 2024 and lasts for a period of 18
months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken as detailed
above depending upon the weather conditions.
