Purpose:

To seek agreement to relocate the Learning Disability Respite Service that is currently provided from Sandbanks in Hailsham to an alternative Council building, namely Grangemead in Hailsham.

3.1       The Lead Member for Adult Social Care considered a report by the Director of Adult Social Care and Health seeking agreement to relocate the Learning Disability service that is currently provided from Sandbanks in Hailsham to an alternative Council building, namely Grangemead in Hailsham.

Decision

3.2       The Lead Member for Adult Social Care RESOLVED to:

1)    use Grangemead as a Learning Disability services, replacing Sandbanks in Hailsham, and;

2)    undertake a feasibility study with Commissioners to determine the future use of The Martins.

Reason

3.3       The Grangemead is identified as the preferred location to provide respite facilities and emergency beds in Hailsham as an alternative to Sandbanks.
