Purpose:

To allow Network Rail to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Decision:

Temporary Road Closure
Cooksbridge Road - from the junction with C6 Beechwood Lane to the junction with U5068 Chandlers Mead.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A275 Cooksbridge Road, Resting Oak Hill, South Road – C323 Mill Lane, Honeypot Lane – C6 South Road - C110 Station Road, Plumpton Lane – B2116 Ditchling Road – A275 Cooksbridge Road and vice versa.

The Order commenced 12 January 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 23:45hrs to 05:00hrs on 28 & 29 July 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.
