Purpose:

To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Decision:

Temporary Road Closure
Little London Road - from the junction with A267 Cross in Hand Road to South Te-Whare.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A267 Cross in Hand Road, Mayfield Road, Heathfield Road – A272 Summer Hill, Main Road, Curtains Hill, The Toll, Pound Green, High Street, Station Road, Lephams Bridge Road, Buxted Road, Budletts Lane, London Road – A26 Uckfield bypass – A22 Uckfield bypass, Eastbourne Road, East Hoathly bypass, South Street, Whitesmith, Holmes Hill, Golden Cross, The Dicker – A267 New North Street, North Street, Eastbourne Road, Horam Road, High Street, Little London Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 10 November 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 10 November 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.
