To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out
works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections
14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as
amended, which will temporarily close the following length of
road;
Sedlescombe Road North - from the junction
with A2101 St Helens Road to the junction with U3016 Harrow
Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access
for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with
an alternative route for through traffic northbound via A21

Crescent, Bexhill Road - A259(T) Hastings Road, Glyne Gap

Street - A2690 Combe Valley Way, Queensway - Whitworth Road - A21
Sedlescombe Road North and southbound via A21 Sedlescombe Road
North - Whitworth Road - A2690 Queensway, Combe Valley Way - A2691
Mount View Street - A2036 Wrestwood Road, Hastings Road - A259(T)
Glyne Gap roundabout, Hastings Road - A259 Bexhill Road, Grosvenor
Crescent, Marina, Grand Parade - A2102 London Road - A21 London
Road, Sedlescombe Road North.
The Order commences 23 March 2026 and lasts for a period of 18
months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 23
& 25 March 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.
