To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out
carriageway resurfacing works, East Sussex County Council have made
an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the
following length of road;
The Order commenced 8 May 2018 and lasts for a
period of 18 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is
the earlier. However, it is anticipated the works will be
undertaken between 28 August 2018 and 28 September 2018 depending
upon the weather conditions.

Temporary Road Closure
C238 Filsham Road - from its junction with A259 Bexhill Road to its
junction with U3128 The Green, a distance of 1,670 metres.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access
for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with
an alternative route for through traffic signed and maintained for
the duration of the works as follows;
Southbound via U3128 The Green - U3128 Upper Maze Hill - U3134
Pevensey Road - A2102 London Road - A2102 Norman Road - A2102
Warrior Square - A259 Grand Parade - A259 Marina - A259 Bexhill
Road;
Northbound via A259 Bexhill Road - A259 Grosvenor Crescent - A259
Marina - A259 Grand Parade - A2102 London Road - U3134 Pevensey
Road - U3128 Upper Maze Hill - U3128 The Green
