To allow Southern Water to carry out sewer
pipe installations, East Sussex County Council have made an Order
under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following
length of road;
The Order commences 24 September 2018 and
lasts for a period of 18 months, or until the works are completed,
whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated the works will
be undertaken between 24 September and 30 October 2018 depending
upon the weather conditions.

Temporary Road Closure
C346 Turkey Road - from its junction with U6576 Ellerslie Lane to
property number 306, a distance of 305 metres.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access
for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with
an alternative route for through traffic signed and maintained for
the duration of the works as follows;
HGVs via C346 Turkey Road – A269 Ninfield Road – A269
London Road – A259 Little Common Road – A259 Little
Common Roundabout – A259 Barnhorn Road – A259 Marsh
Road – B2095 Top Road, Hooe – C346 Straight Lane
– C346 Whydown Road and vice versa.
Light vehicles via C346 Turkey Road – U6589 Gunters Lane
– U6586 West Down Road – A259 Little Common Road
– A259 Little Common Roundabout – C703 Peartree Lane
and vice versa.
