The delivery of the NPAR is integral to the Newhaven Enterprise Zone announced in the Chancellor’s 2015 Autumn Statement, the delivery of the Port’s Masterplan and, along with the investment being made in the flood defences in the town by the Environment Agency and the two LEP’s - Coast to Capital (C2C LEP) and South East (SE LEP), will help the viability of commercial and housing development sites in the Newhaven area.
The NPAR will open up land to enable the delivery of 9,750sqm employment space in the port, creating over 620 new net additional jobs in the town. From the economic assessment to support the business case, the NPAR will derive Gross Value Added (GVA) benefits of over £340m up to 2030 at present value and will represent very high value for money from an economic perspective.
