To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out
traffic calming works and carriageway resurfacing works, East
Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and
15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which
will temporarily close the following lengths of road in
phases;
The Order commences 28 November 2018 and lasts
for a period of 18 months, or until the works are completed,
whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated the works will
be undertaken in phases between 28 November 2018 and 12 February
2019 depending upon the weather conditions.

Temporary Road Closures
Phase 1 & 2; Ghyll Road – from the junction with U7368
Mill Road to the junction with B2203 Hailsham Road.
The alternative route for through traffic signed and maintained for
the duration of the works via U7602 Sheepsetting Lane – A267
Little London Road – C274 Pages Hill – A265 Cross in
Hand Road – C273 Station Road – B2203 Hailsham Road and
vice versa.
Phase 3;Sheepsetting Lane – from the junction with U7368 Mill
Road to the junction with A267 Little London Road.
The alternative route for through traffic signed and maintained for
the duration of the works via A267 Little London Road – C274
Pages Hill – A265 Cross in Hand Road – U7369 Tilsmore
Road – U7368 Mill Road and vice versa.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access
for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
