Purpose:

Notice is hereby given that East Sussex County Council have made the above named Order in part, under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers, coming into operation on 4 February 2019 which introduces, amends and revokes various restrictions along the following lengths of roads:

Decision:

A copy of the made Order, plans showing the lengths of road and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing the Order, along with copies of those parts of the old Orders being revoked may be examined in Reception, East Sussex County Council, County Hall, Lewes on Monday to Friday between 9am and 4pm and at Lewes Library, Styles Field, Friars Walk, Lewes Monday 10am-2pm, Tuesday 10am-5pm, Thursday 10am-6pm, Friday and Saturday 10am –5pm.
The previously advertised proposal insofar as they relate to Cliff Gardens (Seaford), Esplanade (Seaford), Marine Parade (Seaford), Martello Road (Seaford) and Elphick Road (Newhaven) have been abandoned following consideration of the objections received and decisions made at Planning Committee.

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act of 1987, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Road Traffic Regulation Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks of the order being made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.

Changes to Time Limited Waiting, 8am to 6pm Monday to Saturday inclusive, maximum stay 2 hours, no return within 1 hour in the following roads:
RINGMER – Springett Avenue. SEAFORD – Dane Road, Richmond Road.

Changes to Disabled Persons Parking Places in the following roads:
BARCOMBE – Deans Meadow. DITCHLING – Nevill Cottages. NEWHAVEN – Neill’s Close. SEAFORD – The Causeway, Sherwood Road.

Changes to School Keep Clear Marking, No Stopping, Mondays to Fridays 8am-9.30am and 2.45pm-4pm (except August) in the following roads:
NEWICK - Allington Road. PEACEHAVEN - Roderick Avenue.

The introduction of School Keep Clear Marking, No Stopping, Mondays to Fridays 7am-4pm (except August) in the following road:
PEACEHAVEN - Roderick Avenue.

Changes to No Loading and Unloading At Any Time in the following roads:
SEAFORD – Dane Road, Pelham Road. NEWHAVEN – Fort Road, Gibbon Road.
