To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out
carriageway resurfacing works, East Sussex County Council have made
an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the
following length of road;
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians
and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained
whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic
signed and maintained for the duration of the works via B2192
Heathfield Road – B2192 Lewes Road – B2102 High Street
– B2102 Framfield Road – B2102 Blackboys Road –
B2102 The Street – B2102 Hammonds Green – B2102 Bird In
Eye Hill – B2102 Framfield Road – B2102 New Town
– B2102 Bell Lane – B2102 Bell Farm Road and vice
versa.
The Order commences 4 March 2019 and lasts for a period of 18
months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
However, it is anticipated the works will be undertaken between 4
and 30 March 2019 depending upon the weather conditions.

A22 Eastbourne Road - from the junction of B2192 Lewes Road to the
junction of U7404 Knowle Lane.
