As part of the Eastbourne Town Centre
Improvements project two new bus lanes are being created. Following
the creation of the bus lanes there is a requirement for
enforcement cameras and an SAAS system to record and manage the
enforcement. This contract is required to provide the necessary
hardware, software and provide support and maintenance of the
equipment/systems.
It was decided that this contract should be
awarded to Smart Video & Sensing Ltd as they provided the Most
Economically Advantageous Tender (Option 1)
Option 2: Retender – Full Services

Initial RFQ suggested that this would not be a suitable option as
no additional value or alternative bids would be realised (RFQ
responses in option 1 were suitably benchmarked against other local
authorities).
Option 3: Do nothing
Not an option because there will be no way to enforce the new bus
lanes.
