To consider the results of the local consultation on the proposed improvements to the pedestrian crossings along Victoria Drive, and to determine how the scheme will be taken forward

45.1     The Lead Member considered a report by the Director of Communities, Economy and Transport.

DECISIONS

45.2     The Lead Member  RESOLVED to (1) note the comments from the local consultation; and

(2) approve the proposal to upgrade the pedestrian crossings in Victoria Drive as set out in the report as part of the 2019/20 Capital Programme for Local Transport Improvements. 

Reasons

45.3     The road safety and accessibility improvements that the enhanced zebra crossings will bring to the local community, and the majority support for the proposals, outweigh the objections that were received during the public consultation.
