To allow Mildren Construction Ltd to carry out
regeneration works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order
under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following
lengths of road;
The Order commences 24 June 2019 and lasts for
a period of 18 months, or until the works are completed, whichever
is the earlier. However, it is anticipated the works will be
undertaken as detailed above, depending upon the weather
conditions.

Temporary Road Closures
Mark Lane – from its junction with U2132 Cornfield Road to
its junction with U2131 Station Street.
Works are anticipated to be carried out 29 June 2019 to 8 August
2019. Diversion for through traffic via U2132 Cornfield Road
– U2132 Lushington Road – U2131 Connaught Road –
U2131 Hyde Gardens – A259 Gildredge Road – U2131 Mark
Lane – U2131 Station Street.
Hyde Gardens – from its junction with U2131 Connaught Road to
its junction with U2132 Cornfield Road.
Works are anticipated to be carried out 24 June 2019 to 29 July
2019. Diversion for through traffic via U2132 Cornfield Road
– U2131 Lushington Road – U2131 Connaught Road –
U2131 Hyde Gardens.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access
for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
