Purpose:
Notice is hereby given that East Sussex County
Council have made the above Order under the relevant sections of
the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other
enabling powers, coming into operation on 22 November 2021, which
will introduce new or revise the existing parking, waiting and
loading restrictions along the following lengths of
roads:
Decision:
Changes to Prohibition of Waiting At Any Time
in the following roads:
NEWHAVEN – Gibbon Road, Hanson Road, High Street, Hill Side,
Meeching Road, North Lane, St Lukes Lane. PEACEHAVEN –
Arundel Road, Arundel Road West, Bolney Avenue, Cairo Avenue,
Lincoln Avenue, Malines Avenue. RINGMER – Ashcroft Close,
Springett Avenue. SEAFORD – Esplanade, Martello Road.
The introduction of Prohibition of Stopping on the Footway or Verge
At Any Time in the following roads:
NEWHAVEN – High Street, Meeching Road, St Lukes Lane.
Changes to Time Limited Waiting, 8am-6pm Monday to Saturday
inclusive, maximum stay 2 hours, no return within 1 hour in the
following roads:
NEWHAVEN – South Road. PEACEHAVEN – Roderick Avenue.
SEAFORD – Warwick Road.
The introduction of Disabled Persons Parking Places in the
following roads:
NEWHAVEN – High Street, Western Road. SEAFORD – Warwick
Road.
The introduction of a Loading Only Bay At Any Time in the following
road:
NEWHAVEN – High Street
Changes to Taxis Only At Any Time in the following roads:
PEACEHAVEN – Roderick Avenue. SEAFORD – Broad
Street.
The introduction of Taxis Only, 8am-6pm in the following
road:
SEAFORD – Broad Street.
Changes to School Keep Clear Marking, No Stopping, Mondays to
Fridays 8am-9.30am and 2.45pm-4pm (except August) in the following
roads:
SEAFORD – Millberg Road and Saltwood Road.
Changes to School Keep Clear Marking, No Stopping, Mondays to
Fridays 8am-5pm (except August) in the following roads:
PEACEHAVEN – Edith Avenue and Roderick Avenue.
Removal of Ambulance Only Bay in the following road:
SEAFORD – Warwick Road.
A copy of the made Order, plans showing the lengths of road and a
statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing the Order,
along with copies of those parts of the old Orders being revoked
can be viewed at

Due to current social distancing requirements, paper copies of
documents will not be available to view in our council offices or
libraries. People without access to a computer who wish to view
details of the scheme should telephone the Parking Team on 01323
466244 to receive the documents by post.
The previously advertised proposal insofar as they relate to Deans
Meadow, Barcombe, has been abandoned following consideration of the
objection received and decisions made at Planning Committee.
Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of
its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers
conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act of 1984, or on the
grounds that any requirement of the Road Traffic Regulation Act or
of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in
relation to the Order, may within six weeks of the date the Order
is made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
